Winter drinks just have to be hot – I will argue this for eternity. With that being said, this next recipe is the perfect (hot) drink for everybody this festive season. I thought I would add a more general recipe this festive season it completely passed my mind that people might like coffees with a spices or alcohol mixed in them everyday of the year.
The butterscotch caramel recipe is definitely a sweet treat – and to be frank, there’s no better time to indulge in more unhealthy things than in the build up to Christmas. For those of you that serve coffee to customers I can promise you, this will be a favourite for many. Although this is still quite a festive drink in my opinion, it’s definitely one you can change around to make into whatever season drink you want.
What you need
1 large cup of coffee
two little pinches of cinnamon
1 ounce of butterscotch schnapps or butterscotch syrup for an alcohol free option
1 ounce of half and half
Step 1 – make the coffee
We have such a wide selection of beans and instant coffee on our website for you to choose from. The coffee is the most important part of any of our recipes and so making sure it tastes delicious from the get go is a must.
Step 2 – Make it festive (or whatever season your aiming for)
Add one pinch of cinnamon, butterscotch schnapps, a tablespoon of caramel sauce and the half and half. Stir this really well making sure it is all mixed together. Have a little taste and make sure it is exactly how you want it – some days I add more of one of the ingredients just to make it more punching or more sweet.
Step 3 – Finishing touches
Add the whipped cream on top, drizzle some caramel sauce on top and sprinkle another pinch of cinnamon on top – this makes all the difference with the first sip of coffee.
